Apparently,  change is always coming. Its inevitable nature keeps you from yearning what is unknown. No matter what, whether you are doomed for disappointments or unexpected success, I always told myself that life will always be just fine in the end.

1475796804949

Team-building ain’t be no fun without a little bit of adventure. And since they got me all in charge of the activities,  mind as well give them its perks. After all, adventure is what excites me most, regardless of its intensity.

Golden Gate Adventure Resort: Nature’s Neighbour and Man’s Wilderness

1476377803509

As I have known, my days in BPO days would be over soon so I promised myself to gave last hurrah on this team-building finale’.

The Golden Gate Adventure Resort in Katipunan,  BuDa, Davao City was no stranger to me as it was previously chosen as one of the venues where we supposed to hold our team-building before my former team was dissolved.

Personally,  to say that this place held special moments is an understatement. Beforehand,  my TL had given me assignment to search for place, the budget cost as well as the activities before presenting in front of them. It’s like under the notion that “Hey,  this is your last TB anyway so mind as well do the privilege! 😀 ”

Men in the Mountains

Trek with the next generation of responsible mountaineers.

A post shared by Maria Michaela Q. Jamora (@itsmicaejamora) on

As a mountaineer myself, it’s been a privilege to meet people so young (and not so young alike) willing to pursue their passion into mountain climbing. Apart from reaching the peak and take wonderful shots to boast in social media, it is equally interesting to let them know that the journey towards becoming a responsible mountaineers will be as hard as ascending into the steep trail. Knowledge and skills on mountaineering as well as the heart and mind of a true mountaineer will be their weapon to this passion.

Canibad’s Galore

The Madayaw Beach Resort located in Canibad, Samal Island has always been a place for good memories. I came to visit this place in three years in a row now. Yet, the island still exudes so much excitement and adventure, not to mention the ambiance of the people that I am with.

This time, though I didn’t jumped of the cliff which I considered as my longest assignment so far, I instead opted in to enjoying it’s turoquise seawater and clashing waves.

Kadayawan 2016

Finally, its Kadayawan!

This King of all Philippine Festival is one of the Philippine thanksgiving festivals without Christian roots. It is a celebration which involves the original 11 Lumads of the city and their bountiful harvest every year. It highlights the melting pot of cultures that make Davao a vibrant, booming, interesting region.

There’s the short introduction of the said festival whome I usually got to witness every year.

Flower's bloom. Kadayawan's in the air. #floralfusion

Post Thoughts

Okay, this seems to be the most awkward post ever. Why?

Recently,  a lot of things just keep on coming.  It never stops until I bleed. It never forgives, it never reconsiders. This is just the way it is since then. Its unforgiving nature forces you to get back, fight harder and do better. No reconciliation,  just pure actions.

Basic Mountaineering Course: An Aspirant’s Experience

I wonder how did the aspirants feel about their first basic mountaineering course last week end?

For me, everything still seemed to be vivid. Here’s why.

M.I.C.H.A.E.L.A

IMG_1372I always get myself passionate about anything that brings beauty, essence and empowerment to every individual. Aside from becoming a psychologist someday, I also want to see myself becoming a writer, a model, an artist, a beauty queen, an investigator, martial artist, fitness instructor, an athlete, a volunteer and most recently, to become an ecology traveler and mountaineer. I have done some of these things in the past but for now, I can see myself doing one thing. That is mountaineering.
